Obesity – The main Causes
Obesity is a major problem not only in developed countries, but also in developing countries today. As of now, there is not a single drug which can effectively tackle obesity. It is said that Fat man were more likely to get sick and die early than thinner ones. People with central obesity should reduce it. The principle is that one’s abdominal measurement should not exceed one’s chest measurement.
The main causes for obesity
With rapid changes in the society due to the invasion of satellite television and constant expansion of electronic media our notions for health, beauty and sex have also changed. Earlier flabby bald and bulky men were considered from rich and well to do families and also attractive. Women with broad rears and bulging breasts are not considered sexually appealing anymore. Men today like dames with perfect figure, so is the case with the women, they too like guys who are slim but well built. A tall, very dark and fit may do at times but bulky or obese, even fair, won’t at all.
Awareness about health and outlook is on the rise in most of the urban cities. Health clubs, slimming and counseling centre have mushroomed up in most of the metro cities. They are doing brisk business too, all because people want to look smarter, younger and more attractive. Some of these health clubs are equipped with highly sophisticated, imported machines while others may just have country made health devices.
Obesity no doubt is an open invitation to a number of diseases including heart troubles; people who are obese and lethargic are less resistant to infection and disease than those who are slim and fit. An overweight person places an extra burden upon his heart and is supposed to die at a younger age than a person of normal weight.
