Gulping down diet pills has become somewhat of a fad. Amphetamines and amphetamine-like preparations reduce appetite so that the dieter does not feel like eating as much as usual. Crash diets cannot be maintained for long periods of time. The best reducing diets are those which establish new eating habits that can be maintained permanently.
